In The SILENCE

In the silence I perceive your soft breathing
Rhythmic, wafting, reassuring, you heal me
Whispering, whistling amid the Joshua trees
Soothingly streaming like Santa Ana winds
You bestow a most refreshing desert breeze

In the silence I still can feel your touches
Pulsating smoothly and steadily in rushes
You caress me like some wild, timeless sea
Splashing playfully upon this island shore
You ebb in waves only to return once more

During the silence I still can hear your voice
While we are apart  I feel you;  I’ve no choice
Ours is a meeting of minds upon a new level
Even your silence, I passionately care about
Our souls are now entwined;  I’ve no doubt

In the silence (once upon time) I felt nervous
I had formerly feared that it was a disservice
Since we’ve built friendship, trust, and respect
Love blesses me with more serene excitement
Silence doesn’t feel like a criminal indictment

In the silence you’re fixture, the one I miss
In the silence, we rest lips sealed by a kiss
